ABOUT THE TREATMENT
HIFU is a non-invasive treatment that can specifically target the deep foundation below the skin that is addressed in cosmetic surgery without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. It is also the only procedure to use ultrasound imaging, which allows us to see the layers of tissue we target during the treatment and ensure the energy is deposited precisely to where it will be most effective.
HIFU therapy uses ‘ultrasound energy’, which has unique properties that allow it to bypass the surface of the skin to treat depths not matched by any other non-invasive cosmetic device. Lasers, on the other hand, rely on light energy, which cannot reach deeper skin layers at an optimal temperature – so laser treatments typically only treat superficial skin.

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a completely non-surgical treatment that has two different options:
1. FOR REJUVENATION (LIFT, TIGHTEN, REJUVENATE): During treatment, ultrasound is micro-focused below the skin’s surface to cause cellular friction and precise, pinpoint heating. Like a magnifying glass focusing sunlight, heat is only generated at the focal point, leaving the skin’s surface and intervening tissue unaffected. The tissue at the focal point is heated to around 65 degrees Celsius, causing immediate collagen contraction and denaturation, which initiates superior collagen synthesis.
2. FOR FAT LOSS (PERMANENT FAT LOSS IN ARES WITH UNWANTED FAT): The setting specifically designed for fat loss creates heat that destroys fat cells in the target area. You will feel warmth and vibration from the handpiece. In some cases, the treatment may feel slightly uncomfortable. However, most clients report it to be tolerable.
For rejuvenation: This results in an instant lift. The optimal lifting and toning outcome will occur over the following 2-3 months when the new collagen stimulation starts. During this time, old collagen is replaced with new collagen with a higher level of elasticity. The effects usually last 9-12 months.
For fat loss: Results can be seen from 2 - 4 months post-treatment. The fat reduction depends on the treatment area, how your body responds to the treatment and varies from person to person. Results are permanent if you maintain your normal weight, diet, and exercise.
